Rogue eNamels Medium is a professional water-based mixing medium designed to transform powdered enamels into smooth, workable paint for kiln-fired glass.
This medium is part of the growing Glass eMotions glass painting system, designed to work seamlessly with Rogue InkFusion inks, Rogue eNamels, Rebel eNamels, and the upcoming WhisperGlass™ transparent tint system.

After painting, your piece can be gently dried in the kiln:
Recommended drying:
250°F (120°C) for approximately 10–15 minutes
🎨 What Does a Medium Do?
The medium (or vehicle) is the liquid that transforms powdered enamel into a usable paint.
A medium typically contains:
- a liquid vehicle
- a binder to hold enamel to the glass before firing
- additives that improve flow and suspension
Its purpose is to allow the enamel to be applied smoothly while temporarily binding it to the glass until firing permanently fuses it to the surface.

Painting
2 parts enamel : 1 part medium
Pouring
1 part enamel : 1 part pouring medium
Airbrushing
1 part enamel : 4 parts medium
Screen Printing
Approximately 70:30 enamel to medium (honey-like consistency)
🧪 Medium Tips & Tricks
- Tip #1: Thin the medium for pouring by mixing 1 part medium with 4 parts water.
- Tip #2: Mix enamel with pure medium first to create a thick paste before thinning.
- Tip #3: Keep enamel layers thin for pouring techniques.
- Tip #4: Allow mixed enamel paint to sit several hours before use for best results.
- Tip #5: Properly mixed enamel should show very few visible granules.

Once mixed, enamel paint can be stored in an airtight container.
- Stir before each use
- Avoid thin plastic containers
- Properly stored mixtures can remain usable for months

As a fused glass artist, I have been looking for a product like this forever. I invested in Glassline paints and was constantly dissapointed that you had to fire them at a very high temp in order for them to become shiny. I do a lot of tack fused work that I wanted added details. I absoltuely love this pen. It is easy to load, use and I couldn't be happier

I like having additional nibs at hand. If I have mishandled a pen and the ink doesn’t flow after repeated attempts, I just change the nib! Works great
I added the zirconium white to the grey to create a silver to paint wedding bells on bullseye white.
